Evening moorings

I love the tranquility of this scene...

with the stove smoke drifting languidly across the stillness of the water; a single V cut by a paddling coot.

  1. Hi, just popped over from Rosie's blog. There's some great photos in blogging world, yours included. I'm not having much luck with my Scavenger Hunt photos either, after having such high hopes at the beginning of the month! x

  2. Wonderful captures at a special time of day. I'd be happy to drift along rivers and canals in that boat... it looks like it would be cozy inside.

  3. I saw lots of these boats when I visited my parents in the UK a few years ago, and these two lovely photos have transported me back to that time...

  4. Beautiful and peaceful photographs. I sometimes think that we tend to take our wonderful canals for granted.

  6. Stunning photos - even in the thumbnail size it caught my attention. Pity about the pylon - don't they get in the way and spoil things! But still a lovely peaceful scene, great light.
