Evening moorings

I love the tranquility of this scene...


with the stove smoke drifting languidly across the stillness of the water; a single V cut by a paddling coot.

    Wonderful captures at a special time of day. I'd be happy to drift along rivers and canals in that boat... it looks like it would be cozy inside.

    I saw lots of these boats when I visited my parents in the UK a few years ago, and these two lovely photos have transported me back to that time...

    Stunning photos - even in the thumbnail size it caught my attention. Pity about the pylon - don't they get in the way and spoil things! But still a lovely peaceful scene, great light.
