The Railway at Shottle

Each week, when possible, my Dad, Aunt, Uncle and I will go out for lunch. This place has rapidly become one of our favourites.

For years, the Railway at Shottle (Derbyshire) was a bit of a nothingness. Owners came and went, including one of the big chains but, in spite of the large car park and the fact that it is in an ideal location for passing trade, it's never done very well. Last year, however, all of that changed. New owners took over, the place was refurbished and the menu given a complete overhaul.

The surroundings are lovely.

The service is friendly and efficient.

The food is delicious - at a very reasonable price.

What more could you want?

  2. It looks lovely. My mum and her companion are the ones for dining out in Derbyshire. Don't know if they discovered this one or not.
