I like that the planners thought out the little stuff too like the above planting, a typical British meadow, perfect. The planners seem to have taken a wasted piece of land and have turned it into a usable space for everyone and of course the Olympics. Great job !
Thank you for the flowers. I had read about them in the University of Sheffield magazine, as two professors from there were responsible for designing the display, which will continue into September. I am quite disappointed nothing about the acres of flowers showed up on TV! Well done!
Oh my goodness! I'd seen two other Olympic posts from friends "over the pond" but they didn't capture these close-up details of the wild flowers - which are my favorite kinds. Gorgeous, Helen. Been missing you! That A-Z road trip...maybe I won't go next year because I've been DYING to see my favorite friends, but made a commitment... Anyway, did you get in to see any of the events? ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely, contrast to the very modern buildings, a country meadow.
ReplyDeleteThe devil's in the details. What a beautiful way to start your adventure.
