Bus Stop Quarry

Before leaving Wales, we took a trip to Bus Stop Quarry, where there are some dramatic slate faces and edges.

Of course, there was yet more climbing!

  1. What an interesting name! Did a bus crash into the quarry? You must be THE PERFECT MUM to your two sons, H!!!!

  2. Definitely not the perfect mum.

Bus Stop quarry is so named because there is a local bus service which trundles down the windy country lanes and services the villages. It terminates at a turning circle just below the quarry.

  3. Brings to mind places some people have used for a home or garden. Very impressive pictures and a great back drop. Check out Butchart Gardens in Victoria BC, built in an old quarry.

  5. You're too modest, H! Thanks also for enlightening me on why the quarry has that name :)
