A stick with bits attached



On our way back round Malham Tarn, we spotted this.

Any idea what it's for?

    It looks like an orienteering punch attached to the stick :-)

    I thought orienteering too, or is it to do with geocaching?

    Yes I would say thats a geocache. which is a treasure hunting game and you leave items at known cooridinates for other players to find.
