The lads finished their day at Cratcliffe with a bit of bouldering. This problem is Braindead' and Ben has reached the part where it begins to become straightforward. Getting up to there was the tricky part.
Now, it's a quick layback up the arete.
And top out :)
My heart is in my mouth looking at the pictures - how you managed to photograph them I can't imagine Helen.
ReplyDeleteIf I was to attempt to go up there it would be more than my brain that finished up dead!
ReplyDeleteI do not know how he did that pure strength maybe ?
ReplyDeleteDoes he have any fingernail left ?
Your family leads a very exciting and interesting life.

ReplyDeleteI'm with Alan on this! I don't know how you can bear to watch your dear son climbing.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how you can look - I'd have my hands over my eyes (and my heart in my mouth!) the whole time!
ReplyDeleteIt's a tricky climb, but this one wouldn't have me breathless like some of the others you've photographed... it's not that tall (remember I have a touch of vertigo). Even were Ben (or any of the climbers) to fall, it would not likely be fatal. What amazes me here is how he can grip. That looks like moss on the rock to me and that can hardly be stable.
ReplyDeleteI should't sound like a sissy, as I hardly am... I've not been called the rule breaker for nothing... :-D
