    I do not know Dr Who, but the first picture, the first statue, if it is a weeping angel, then it is fitting that it weeps with the rest of us on 9/11.

    The twins are huge Dr. Who fans and have mentioned the weeping angels. I'll have to ask them about the blinking comment. :-D

    I quite like the time-worn face of that second statue. I suspect I know how he feels as well, freezing cold in winter, slow to soak up the sun on those odd summer days. No wonder he carries a little flask of single malt around with him.

    I seem to remember that near the end of that story (Blink), the Doctor is heard to say something like:

    "No, not every statue, but any statue..."

    Now go for a walk around your local town, and see how many statues / stone carvings of people or animals you can find
