One of the things I love most about Autumn is the sunrise. There are probably sunrises just as spectacular throughout the year, but this is when I get to see them because my alarm wakes me while it is still dark. There is nothing good about getting up for work in the dark, except the chance of a beautiful sunrise, which is exactly how I was recompensed last Friday.
Enjoy!
(Notice the aeroplane which had recently taken off from East Midlands Airport?)
Last week, I completely forgot to link my post back to Jenny Matlock's Alphabet Thursday and her Autumn hiatus. I've just realised this fact! Sorry Jenny. I'll make sure I do it this time...
I do so agree. I get the sunrise every day now and most of the days it is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYour photo's are beautiful/ LOve the colors.
It's great when being 'up at the crack of dawn' is a more reasonable hour on the clock! Lovely promise of the day to come.
ReplyDeleteThey are so very pretty sky colors! I agree, autumn seems to produce the most vibrant sun rise and sun set colors.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous skies over there. 'Course I'm partial to our rises over here. With so many fine particulates in the air the absolutely amazing.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty skies!
ReplyDeleteI find myself out walking the dog at just about sunrise every day - it is a bit of a boost, but not enough to make me happy to be out!
ReplyDeleteI'm an early morning person myself and love the sunrises. Great pictures you shared as always..
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I love sunrise.
ReplyDeleteI love beautiful autumn sunrises, too, H! I noticed that my shadow was very long as I walked in the park one morning -- a clear sign the sun has an autumn slant.
ReplyDeleteAs you say one nice reason to be up in the dark you get to see the sunrise.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos today !
cheers, parsnip
Beautiful sky photos! Our sunrises are lovely this time of year as well.
ReplyDeleteLovely images - the last photo looks like an exquisite piece of silk that has been hand painted.
ReplyDeleteYou have a beautiful view of the sunrise from your home! We have trees and mountains in the way, here and besides, I am seldom up before it gets light. I am missing one of nature's glories!
ReplyDeleteThank goodness for beautiful sunrises or I don't think I'd ever get out of bed in the winter! =>
ReplyDeleteBeautiful series, skies fantastic, very good pictures.
ReplyDeletewhat is it? - YOU got it! :)
ReplyDeletei love your photos! :)
ReplyDeleteJust posted about the skies over the north of England, too. They seem somehow of an even better quality than usual! What great photos.
ReplyDeleteThanks for reminding me that the clocks go back this weekend. Why we maintain this silly tradition is beyond me - I have never heard anyone say "OH goody, it will be lighter in the mornings after Sunday"
ReplyDeleteWhat a glorious way to start the day!
ReplyDeleteLove sunrise too - such exquisite hues!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. Hope you enjoyed all the fun.
LOLA:)
PS I have a vague memory of a query to Lola Lifeline a while ago (about a relative's loud music?) which my inefficient PA may have mislaid!
If this is the case and you'd like it included in the next edition, do let me know and I'll make sure it's published this time!
I love these Autumn dawns - so subtly coloured. I am usually sitting up in bed drinking my early morning tea and our bedroom bay window faces east so I have a really good view (but am too lazy to ge tthe camera out.)
ReplyDeleteThose are absolutely spectacular!
ReplyDelete=)
I'm with you. I prefer to wake up without the alarm and it's getting harder to do in the dark. BUT, the sunrises are always worth it.
ReplyDeleteThat is definitely a spectacular sight to wake up to each morning :) If I got to see that every morning instead of the neighboring buildings, I would probably be more inclined to wake up earlier!
ReplyDeleteI'll have to remember what you said about waking up in the dark! Good reason to be up so early! Thanks {:-Deb
ReplyDeleteI rarely see a sunrise, so when I do it's so special. These photos are lovely! You've captured the quietude of early morning, as well as the surprise of a new day.
ReplyDeleteI'm an early morning person. I'm always amazed and awed at the gentle beauty of sunrise...sunsets seem so bold and loud, but the whisper of a sunrise makes any morning hopeful.
ReplyDeleteThanks for a lovely link for Fall Break!
