Gateway @ Brow Wood

A short while ago, I posted a photo of a gateway. It met with a surprising number of favourable comments and requests for more so, I have started gateway spotting and, at random intervals, will add another gateway post to the collection.

This one is right opposite Windermere School in Cumbria.

  2. Well, there is so much a gate can say. "Welcome", "Stay Away", "By invitation only".....and there is always the sense of adventure when you first encounter and interesting gate leading down to ?

This is a very intriguing picture you have posted too.Rock wall on one side and a wood post fence enclosing what?

  5. There is something quite nice about gates, the way they invite you in, a transparency that doors can only aspire to.

  6. Hey there are two styles as well! One for left-footed folk like me ( I always scored my goals with the left foot) and one for right-footers...
