A brighter shade of grey



I usually think of gritstone as being a moderately dull grey colour but the broken rocks around Millstone Quarry reminded me that it is actually a harder form of sandstone and, as such, has a rich range of colour.


Here, enhanced by the algae :)

    I think that the more we look at rocks and stones the more colours we see in them Helen.
