Another new day

I've been feeling a bit restless lately. Mark is safely delivered off to Uni and beginning a whole new exciting chapter of his life. In a sense, I suppose that I've been living the excitement with him. But now he has gone and it's back to the usual daily routine.

As well, summer is drawing to a close, so all of those jaunts off to northern latitudes are going to become so much more difficult with the advent of the frost and the fog and the wind and the rain; dark mornings and darker evenings.

But each new day is a new beginning and we make of life what we can...

From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the LORD is to be praised.
Psalm 113 v 3

Amble over to Jenny's to see what's going on at the start of a brand new alphabet.

  1. Isn't it wonderful to be able to celebrate another new day ...

  2. I love the photo you put with this post...I try to always remember that each day is a new day! Stopping by from Aplphabe-Thursday!

  3. Lovely post. Another new day. It's a gift. My paternal grandmother always spoke of each new day as a gift.

  6. You framed that sunrise beautifully. The sky was all fiery here this morning. Fall heralds its arrival with brilliance.

  7. another day, another...yes some times it seems daunting and we easily forget how blessed we are to have another day. I really enjoyed this post.

  8. When life seems to be changing too fast and one family member's excitement is another's loss, the sunrise is a good reminder of the marvelous way in which life goes on.

  9. Gorgeous photo. It is always a strange feeling to take one of them to college, isn't it?

But you're right. New things are always just around the corner.

  10. A chapter closes and another one opens - each new day is a blessing!

  16. Such lovely thoughts and a beautiful picture. Thank you for stopping by and on the comments about the rusty color of the water in the falls. Thought I would tell you where it comes from. It is more amber which makes people think it is muddy but it is from tannin leached from trees in the swamps that runs to the river. I found that an interesting fact the first trip that I took there.

  17. Oh yes! Praise the Lord for each and every new day :o) A beautiful photo with a perfect scripture.

    Blessings & Aloha!
...getting around to more blog reading. Have a wonderful, wonderful week starting each new day refreshed :o)

  18. I love this post.

It always feels so true that after some big excitement or life event life just feels like another day.

I'm glad you could look beyond that to see the joy in the possibilities.

Thanks for this thought-provoking link to Alphabe-Thursday.

    I enjoyed my stop here.
