What an appealing gateway just below the summit of Kirkstone Pass!

  1. Definitely. I really like this photo - the colours and light and shapes.

  2. I love this gateway H - in fact it would be rather nice to go round and collect half a dozen or so and put them on a blog - how about it? Not sure this gate would actually open without falling apart but I think that is part of its charm!

  3. Looks like the wood on the R is waiting to replace the missing top?.

  4. Wonderful post today !
I love your gateway and Weavers idea.

For many years Japanese Son took photos of all the old rusty buildings, gates, signs and junk.... that he could find and they were wonderful. Now his blog is filled with much more but he does find room for things people seem to miss. Things that get very rusty in Japan.

I would love to see more posts on all sorts of gateways !

    cheers, parsnip

  5. Hi H, Hope you are keeping well. Wow! I love everything about your incredible photo!!! Are you allowed to go through the entrance? Curious what's at the top of the summit. Wishing you a splendid day! Blessings, Kerrie

  6. I like the gateway and the way it is leaning away from the wall and standing as if leaning against the fence post to prop it up. Also like the textures in the grass and wall and the view beyond:)
