For this round of Jenny Matlock's Alphabe-Thursday, I thought I would take a theme which might loosely be entitled 'Reasons to be Cheerful, Part _', after the 1979 hit single by Ian Dury and the Blockheads (Reasons to be Cheerful, Part 3).

For everyone, the reasons will be different, but I wanted to search around for some of the things which brighten up my day; things for which I am thankful.
G is for gift.

And what made it really special was that this gift arrived totally out of the blue, all the way from across the big pond from a friend I have never even met.
I've seen some of these photos before on her blog. Now I can enjoy them all over again, month by month through the year.
Definitely a reason to be cheerful!!
Thank you Cheryl. You are the best!
Lovely photos of lovely photos!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great gift! Who says these blogging friendships are shallow? :-)
ReplyDeleteYes, isn't blogland marvellous. I had a card bearing a lovely photograph from a lady I blog with off the coast of America - it was a card of their boat mooring spot - they live on an island. It gave me so much pleasure as I can now imagine the spot so much more easily.
ReplyDeleteYes I received a surprise calendar from a fellow blogger across the pond as well - it is such things that make blogging so special.
ReplyDeleteHappy 2012 Helene.

What a beautiful gift ! Yes, Blogger world is wonderful ! I have met people I would never have met in my whole life without blogging. A couple from Canada and a lady from Australia, besides the fact that I spent a week in the South of France at a Blogfriend's whom I had never met before. It was great !
