An important announcement!

"We interrupt normal service to bring you an important announcement..."

...

You need to go back to sleep!

Seriously!

It's dangerous for you out here.

You've woken up far too soon.

...

Excuse me! Are you listening to me?

PAY ATTENTION!

...

I'm trying to give you a potentially life saving warning here!

...

GO BACK TO SLEEP!

...

Your delicate little petals shouldn't be showing until March.

and they've forecast winds from Siberia :(

...

And, as for you guys...

DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!!!

...

You'll be fine :)

  1. Oh Helene what a lovely post. We have crocus out, although I find that the sparrows like the yellow ones too much so they rarely last long.

Siberian winds may be coming but today the sun is glorious here and Tess and I have just walked two miles along the lane in blissful weather.

  2. Haha this is a cleverly written post! They are a gorgeous yellow, it would be a shame for the wind to ruin them.

  3. Wow...Siberian winds. That sounds daunting. Poor confused flowers.

  4. None of those bright-and-shining faces has presented itself around Pondside. Too cold. I'm a little worried about your small friends in light of the Siberian winds forecast. They need another talking-to.

  5. Oh, I hope they'll be fine. If any of these were popping in my gardens I'd be extremely worried for their ability to survive. (It is nice to see new color so early but I think they've mistaken a weird weather system for spring.)

  7. Such a funny post !
Weaver just had a post about early blooms coming out.
I hope the winds aren't too freezing and strong.
Here in Tucson, we will have freeze warnings on the weather. It can get down to 32 even to 28 a few nights in the winter, so everyone covers their plants that can't handle the cold evenings. Thank Goodness it is usually only for a few nights.

    Hope your plants will survive.

    cheers, parsnip

  8. Well - they will have their way - no matter what! I tried to snuggle up to each little petal, but somehow the laptop screen just didn't have the ambiance.

Sending warm greetings from cold and snowy northern Wisconsin

  9. Wow, out already? We've had a freak blizzard Friday that lasted 20 minutes and dumped 2 inches of snow, and today we had horrendous wind. No one is waking up early around here!
