Around Derwentwater 7 - A view from the top

The view from the top of Shepherd's Crag was amazing!

Looking south down Borrowdale towards Rosthwaite.

...North up Derwentwater towards Skiddaw fell.

...and straight down at this footbridge over the river.

  1. I visited the Lakes District with my parents in December 1972 and thought it was the most beautiful place I'd ever seen (I was 17 at the time). I always felt I'd like to go back there again, but sadly, never have.

Thank you for sharing it with us through your blog!

  3. There's nothing like a photo of the countryside from the top of a hill. I love this country. :)

  5. Panorama views like this are always wonderful. This is pretty landscape I can easily see changing with the seasons and weather. Your post, with the last image of the footbridge, would work well in the memes Weekend Reflections and Sunday Bridges. :-)
